Description

Some say the real cause of the 1889 Great Spokane Fire was Irish Kate, a saloon girl on Railroad Avenue, the Red-Light District. While whe was working, she found that her hair needed fixing, so she went up to her room and stuck a curling iron in a kerosene lamp. A disgruntled client came up to her room and started a fight. During the scuffle, Kate knocked over the lamp which started a fire.

With such a colorful and Spokonic character as Kate, we felt that it was only fitting that she deserved to have her own beer. This imperial red has a slightly sweet maltiness mixed in with a hop-forward edginess that's just like Kate.
